Air pistol shooting has a long history in the U.K . in the 19th century air pistol target shooting was a popular parlour sport amongst the Gentry and in clubs in the north and the midlands "bell target shooting" with air rifles and pistols was more popular than football!
The tradition lives on today with the UK olympic shooting team medalling in the last 4 games.
Air pistol shooting is very rewarding,there is defiantly an element of "man and machine" involved (you, the pistol, the target)when you shoot with a pistol , and any shooter who becomes proficient with a pistol will find their all round shooting improved
Because of their lower power air pistols are particularly suited for shooting where space is at a premium such as smaller gardens,or even indoors (sub 3ft/lb pistols only) and also are a good introduction to novices of all ages to air gunning and airgun safty.
